Psychology Graduate

Red 5 People

Location

Bedford, Bedfordshire | United Kingdom

Job description

Are you a psychology graduate looking to develop your career within mental health? Do you have some existing experience (paid or voluntary) supporting people with mental health support needs? This hybrid role at a national mental health charity could be for you.

The role is working on a brand-new service in Bedfordshire. You will be split between Leighton Buzzard (1 day), Bedford (1 day) then home (3 days, but the occasional outreach day).

You won’t be directly supporting people with their mental health needs, but you will be helping them find the next step in their career, which has a huge knock-on effect to their mental health whilst working closely with an NHS team. As the employment specialist, you will work with your clients around exploring career opportunities (again factoring in their mental health), helping them with their job search, applying for jobs, creating CVs, and preparing for interviews. The clients you work with might currently be unemployed, but many will be in work and struggling, so here you might be helping them to work with their current employer to talk about reasonable adjustments or managing their workload etc.

So, if you do have some experience working with vulnerable clients (or something relatable to the role like sales or recruitment) and are a recent psychology grad (or similar) looking to further your career, this charity could be a good fit for you. Please apply via this advert – everyone gets a response. If you would like to speak to someone over the phone, feel free to call the office and ask for Lawrence (number on the Red 5 People website).
