Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location: Kidderminster
Hours: Monday – Friday 7:30am – 16:00pm
Pay: From £62,500 - £64,688
Contract: Permanent
Pertemps Kidderminster are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer for our client based in Kidderminster. This role is based in the electrical maintenance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a range of planned and reactive electrical testing and maintenance. Working to budget with internal and external stakeholders on upgrades and new installation project work. Meet the challenging and demanding environment of the facility.
The Responsibilities of an Electrical Engineer: · Abide by all company and site safety policies and procedures.
· Report all health, safety and environmental concerns, near misses and incidents via the site reporting system.
· Comply with the site Safe System of Work; develop competence under the Safety Rules.
· To ensure that all electrical apparatus is correctly operated and maintained.
· To ensure all site electrical systems and apparatus are tested to the required frequency as dictated by regulations.
· To arrange and monitor maintenance contracts for specialist equipment.
· To recommend plant spares holdings to the Maintenance Manager and support procurement.
· To support the Maintenance Manager where necessary, support with internal, external and compliance Audits
· To establish and work within an Electrical section budget.
· To determine and develop obsolescence plans for electrical equipment and apparatus.
· To support with enhancing cyber security and software baselining and back-up.
· To support Mechanical, Controls and Instrument Engineers as required and during absence.
· To investigate faults on any part of the facility or plant and procure their timely rectification, briefing management on progress.
· Fulfil the role of line manager for the Electrical department.
The Requirements of an Electrical Engineer: · Must be a qualified electrical engineer, holding a minimum of a Higher National Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with a minimum of five years relevant experience post-qualification.
· Broad experience of process electrical systems including high and low voltage.
· Experience and knowledge with Electrical Diven Actuators and Motors.
· Ideally from a power station, process plant or similar background.
· Experience of managing a team.
· Able to demonstrate experience of managing multiple contractors and maintenance contracts.
· Self-discipline/ability to work independently.
· Excellent problem solver.
