Job description
Overview
We are looking for a housekeeper / nanny to help take care of our household and light childcare for three children aged 3 years, 5 years, 7 years, and Smilla our little dog. Nanny would live with us in attractive conditions close to Zurich, Switzerland. All major costs are covered, and a negotiable salary is included. We are looking for a commitment of at least 12-24 months, starting asap. If interested, please contact us.
Our Family
We are a Swedish couple living in Switzerland since 2011. We are social and active and we love
- Enjoying Zurich: going out in lively areas of Zurich, swimming in and picnicking by the lake, hanging out with friends.
- Enjoying Switzerland: going to the mountains for hiking, skiing, shoe-shoeing, sledging, biking depending on the season.
We have three children: Erica, Oscar, Carl. They are in good health, and are active and fun. They go to kindergarden / daycare and spend their afternoons/evenings with the nanny, and do activities with us parents on the weekend.
We live outside of Zurich (in Pfäffikon), about 10 mins by foot to the lake. We have two adjacent apartments with 6 bedrooms in total, four balconies with modern amenities. Our nanny lives in her own room with own en-suite bathroom and a separate entrace incl. separate kitchen.
Zurich itself is a beautiful city that offers a lot with an amazing quality of life. It is located around a large lake surrounded by small hills and a view onto the further distant snow-capped mountains of the Alps.
Ideal Profile
The ideal person for this role is
* Autonomous, responsible, mature enough to take care of three small children and do household work
* Flexible and with a sense of humor, and easy to live with in a group.
* German (native = ideal) speaking or native English
* Loves taking care of kids
* Likes cooking and household chores, including tidying, cleaning, shopping, laundry, ironing
* Takes care of our pet when we are not at home
* Interested in a life experience that is active and international -- capable of inserting themselves into an existing life of an active and international family.
* Is available for at least 12 months, and preferably 24+ months

Both did advance studies (Materials Science & Mechanical Engineering) at MIT in the USA, spent time studying and have significant work experience abroad.
* Experience taking care of young children and helping them grow into awesome kids.
