The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant
You will be working in an SEN Secondary School as a SEN teaching assistant. The pupils follow the UK curriculum, however they need extra support as they have SEN needs such as Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD. There are various pupils that need the support on your trial day you will see which child will be best suited to work with. You will be expercted to work with the class teacher to ensure that the pupils are progressing with their lessons and give any feedback required.
The School - SEN School
This is a 'Good' SEN Secondary school that follows the UK curriculum.They cater to a range of needs, mainly Autism. But there are also pupils with Physical Disabilites, Speech Impairment and Visison Impairment. There are about 160 pupils on site and there are different sections of the schools based on ability, ages and needs. There is also an Outreach Provision. The school have a very supportive friendly team. There is also parking on site and close transport links.
