Position:SMT Operator
Salary:£21.5k to £22.5k DOE, Annualised Hours Premium + Bonus
Hours:37.5 Hours - Monday to Friday 6.00am to 14.00pm
Location:Bedford
The Position:
To carry out manufacturing process steps for the assembly of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and assemble product to agreed quality levels to meet customer expectations.
Main Duties:
- Set-up and run SMT lines to specified efficiency and process quality levels.
- Ensure product meets IPC 610 to the specified class.
- Input and preparation of process control documentation
- Ensure you are familiar with the department’s output production targets.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and update databases to meet the requirements of the quality management syste
- Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
- Maintain to the highest-level workmanship and product standards, and ensure no scrap is created
Person Specification:
- Professional manner with excellent internal customer service skills
- Good understanding of English including verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable and strives for high quality standards.
- Accurate with good manual dexterity
- Desire to learn and develop.
- Interest in electronics / manufacturing
Previous experience:
- Experience of running pick and place machines, preferably MyData, Dek, Jet printer, SPI,X-ray
- Preferable creating DEK, SPI, Jet printer programs, not essential as training will be given
- Previous experience of package creation would be beneficial.
