Developing occupational therapy management pathways of non-stroke neurological step down patients will be a priority as part of the establishment of this role following the reconfiguration of ABUHB Stroke rehabilitation pathway, therefore an interest and skill set the within the field of neurology is desirable. We also have the aspiration of developing an all age pathway response in relation to major trauma provision, with occupations being at the core of our interventions, which makes the scope, depth and breadth of this role is both exciting and innovative in nature. Extensive clinical experience of rehabilitation, inpatient services, neurology and major trauma is essential along with advanced communication and engagement skills. You will be expected to work as an integral member of the MDT and as part of the wider Occupational Therapy team across ABUHB, to deliver high quality, evidence based occupational therapy intervention with individuals would have experienced a significant event requiring a specialist acute admission into hospital.
