As a child care assistant your role is for the care and well being of the children in the nursery, providing activities to promote their individual development as well as providing a caring environment to ensure the children emotional needs are met..
Responsibilities
- Providing support for the head key worker
- Monitoring and supervising the children at all times
- Building relationships with the children, parents and guardians
- Adhering to the policies and procedures
- Assisting and coming up with creative play and activities
- Providing a caring environment for children to feel safe
- Caring for a range of age groups from babies to 12 years old
- Helping to feed and change young children
Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Must have a level two in child care
