We are looking for someone who is passionate about direct to consumer marketing, and ready to learn and grow in a team environment. In this role, you’ll be leading our email and SMS marketing initiatives, aiming to engage with our customers and convey the KILLSTAR brand through our written and visual communications. You will be responsible for segmentation, design and execution of campaigns, and performance of our email and SMS marketing programs. If this sounds like you, please read on!

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and execute email, SMS and PUSH marketing strategies aligned with overall marketing objectives and company goals. Collaborate with marketing team members to integrate email campaigns with other marketing initiatives for maximum impact.
  • Plan, create, and execute email, SMS, and PUSH campaigns, including designing templates, writing compelling copy, and coordinating with design and content teams for assets.
  • Implement A/B testing strategies to optimise email performance and increase engagement metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions. Continuously test and iterate on email marketing strategies, content, and tactics to improve performance and achieve key objectives. Monitor and analyse key email marketing metrics, providing regular performance reports and insights to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for email, SMS and PUSH marketing campaigns and initiatives, analysing results to derive actionable insights and inform future strategies.
  • Continuously test and iterate on email, SMS, and PUSH marketing strategies, content, and tactics to improve performance and achieve key objectives. Identify opportunities for innovation and experimentation to drive growth and differentiation in email marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as design, content, product, and sales to align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide updates on campaign performance, and solicit feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Segment lists based on various criteria such as demographics, behaviour, and engagement levels. Develop targeted campaigns tailored to different audience segments to increase relevance and engagement.
  • Rigorously maintain databases of customer information, drawing upon data as needed to inform recommendations and new implementations.
  • Ensure prompt, accurate, and error-free communication with customers to build loyal relationships and minimise unsubscribes.
  • Stay up-to-date with email marketing best practices, industry trends, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and deliverability. Monitor and adhere to spam laws and email marketing regulations to maintain a positive sender reputation and avoid deliverability issues.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior team members or colleagues involved in email marketing activities, sharing best practices and fostering skill development.

Your Experience Includes:

  • Demonstrated success in email and/or SMS marketing campaigns.
  • Working under tight deadlines and producing impeccable work products.
  • Working knowledge of CRM tools.

 

Bonus If You:

  • Have managed multi-national databases which require strict adherence to data privacy and protection.
  • Have proficiency in marketing automation technologies, SEO/SEM, or HTML and content management systems.
  • Have thrived in an environment subject to global and regional regulations and industry best practices pertaining to email and SMS marketing.
  • Have a personal affinity or connection to alternative fashion or lifestyle communities.

 

Work Location and Hours:

This role will be based at our Brighton HQ, United Kingdom. This role will be performed on a hybrid working arrangement, consisting of a minimum of 3 Days per week in the office, and 2 Days working from home.

This role is a full-time position of 37.5 hours, with hours worked between 08:00am – 06:00pm, Monday through to Friday.
