Job description
Smile Education are proud to support a local Smethwick based Primary School in the appointment of an Early Years Teaching Assistant.
The school are seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis from February 2024, this will be a long term position until July 2024. This role with include supporting with planning engaging activities, supporting the Class Teacher in pupil development, and promoting an inclusive and creative curriculum.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with colleagues, provide feedback to pupils, establish relationships with parents/guardians, and promote independence in all pupils.
About the Role: - Early Years Teaching Assistant
- Full time role, working hours 8.20am – 3.30pm
- Log term position until July 2024
- Plan and implement activities
- Supervise and lead groups of children
- Support a creative, inclusive curriculum that values learning
- Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
Requirements: - Relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualifications in Early Years
- An Enhanced Child workforce DBS Certificate
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Demonstrate excellent understanding of Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience of supporting SEND children would be beneficial
