Job Title: Senior Estimator

Company Overview:
A leading main contractor based in Warrington, specializing in office fit-outs, industrial refurbishments, heritage works, groundworks, and external works. With a high volume of tenders ranging from £20k to £3/4m, we are seeking a proactive and highly organized Senior Estimator to lead the pre-construction tendering and pricing process.
Role Overview:
The Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in the tendering process across various sectors. They will be responsible for undertaking all aspects of tendering and pricing, collaborating with contracts managers, and ensuring timely and accurate submissions. The successful candidate will need experience in office fit-outs, industrial refurbishments, heritage works, groundworks, and external works.
Responsibilities:
Tendering Process:
Manage the end-to-end tender process for multiple projects simultaneously.
Coordinate with contracts managers for sign-off.
Sector Expertise:
Possess expertise in office fit-outs, industrial refurbishments, heritage works, groundworks, and external works.
Pricing:
Develop pricing strategies from a management contractor's perspective.
Utilize subcontractor costs for tender submissions.
Supply Chain Management:
Engage with existing supply chain partners.
Identify and onboard new/specialist subcontractors.
Site Surveys:
Conduct tender site surveys with clients and contracts managers.
Tender Analysis:
Undertake tender analysis for each trade.
Clarify allowances with subcontractors.
Schedule Development:
Input subcontractor costs into scope of works documents.
Develop fully priced schedules for submission.
Relationship Building:
Leverage relationships within the Northwest region.
Collaborate with clients and subcontractors.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in the Northwest region.
Strong background in office fit-outs, industrial refurbishments, heritage works, groundworks, and external works.
Ability to manage a high volume of tenders with varying values.
Familiarity with competitors in the region.
