Temporary Tiler – Manual Labour

Pay Rate: £15.84 per hour PAYE
Hours per week: 42.5 Monday – Friday, 8am to 5pm
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3-4 months
City: Walthamstow, London
Basic DBS disclosure required
Candidates must be prepared to work across various locations such as West London, hammersmith and Fulham, Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster
The successful candidate will be decorating and protecting floors and walls using all kinds of tiles (including ceramic, clay, slate, marble and glass). Fixing the tiles and applying grout before finishing off.
Key Responsibilities:
Examines drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
Clean floor surface, fixes wooden laying guides and mixes, pours and levels granite and terrazzo mixtures, bitumen, synthetic resin or other composition mixtures to form flooring.
Examine premises to plan suitable layout and cuts, lays and secures underlay, carpet and linoleum.
Finish covering by rolling, smoothing, grouting or polishing.
Mixes cement screed or other adhesive, cuts and positions floor and wall tiles and checks alignment of tiling with spirit level.

Qualifications:
Level 2 NVQ in Wall and Floor Tiling.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5 plus recent experience preferred in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
Ability to work on own initiative and to evaluate actions needed to satisfy customers.
Damp and mould experience or can also decorate
Excellent personal presentation.
Take pride in delivering your work to the highest standard.
A good communicator who understands the importance of customer service.
