Job description
Our client a Global Hedge Fund is looking to hire into the group finance team based in the Jersey Office. The role will cover all financial reporting and advisory matters for the group.
This position demands a proactive professional to collaborate closely with the business across the entire finance spectrum. The incumbent will swiftly integrate into the finance function, assuming a pivotal role with diverse and extensive responsibilities.
Key Tasks:
- Take ownership of and generate monthly management reports for various corporate entities and business units within the group. This involves conducting variance analysis, forecasting, and providing insightful results commentary.
- Prepare annual statutory accounts, including audit packs, for these entities. Develop and nurture relationships with auditors, serving as the primary point of contact for these entities.
- Compile financial reports and deliver ad-hoc financial information to the board of directors and other senior management.
- Oversee intercompany relationships and payments among group entities. Collaborate with the accounts payable team to ensure timely processing of payments on the group's banking platform. Prepare bank reconciliations and analyze and forecast cash flow.
- Play a vital role in the monthly reporting process, collaborating with the Head of Finance and Financial Controller to produce reports for the group's board of directors.
- Undertake ad-hoc project work as required.
Qualifications:
- University degree
- ACA/ACCA qualified
- Strong academic record
- Exposure to asset management/funds services business
