Position: Infrastructure Engineer
Location: London, Holborn
Responsibilities:
- Installation, setup, maintenance, and upgrades of various infrastructure components.
- Manage servers including HPE rack servers, Dell rack servers, and iLo/iDrac systems.
- Maintain storage systems such as HPE Storevirtual vSAN, QNAP NAS, and iSCSI with multipath configuration.
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers (Pfsense, Cisco, Dell, Ubiquiti, and Mikrotik), VLANs, LAG, Failover, VPN, and patching.
- Oversee UPS and Rack systems, ensuring power and PDU capacity, tracking U usage, and implementing auto-shutdown procedures.
- Manage telephone systems, including Mitel PBX, ISDN, and SIP Trunk configuration.
- Maintain CCTV systems including Milestone, Hikvision, and Dahua.
- Oversee Access Control systems utilizing Biostar 1 & 2.
- Manage WiFi infrastructure using Xirrus AP, Controller, and Access Control via Packetfence and PurpleWiFi for guest networks.
- Administration of virtual servers using VMWare vSphere and Proxmox.
- Administer M365 and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Attributes:
- Good technical knowledge of IT technologies, servers, switches, routers, storage systems
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows server
- Ability to manage and lead a small team
- Passion for IT with the enthusiasm and initiative to learn and develop new skills
- Can multi-task and prioritise
- Willing and able to travel to Paris, France on a regular basis
- Work under pressure at times of emergency
- Team player and able to adapt to a multicultural environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing diverse infrastructure systems.
- Proficiency with server management, storage systems, network configuration, and vitalisation technologies.
- Strong understanding of M365 administration and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Salary - £50,000 - £57,000
