Assistant Project Manager

Job description
As we enter into 2024 OCU Group is continuing to maintain a sustained period of growth and expansion within the water and wastewater sector.
Due to this and our continued work winning success we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team based in the Northwest.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting to develop comprehensive project plans including timelines and resource allocation.
- Obtain necessary approvals and permits from regulatory authorities.
- Assist to develop project schedules and critical milestones.
- Assist to monitor project progress identify deviations and assisting to implement corrective actions as needed.
- Regularly report project status to project manager providing updates on milestones risks and achievements.
- Identify potential risks and assisting to develop risk mitigation plans to minimize project disruptions.
- Ensure that projects comply with relevant industry standards regulations and quality assurance protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain highquality deliverables.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the project enforcing safety protocols and practices.
- Ensure compliance with health safety and environmental regulations.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders including local authorities and community members.
- Prepare project documentation including reports trackers and meeting notes.
- Monitoring of plant and material costs with site trackers.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in construction preferably in waterrelated projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of water industry standards regulations and best practices in the UK.
