Recruitment Officer
Working from home – offices based in Pencoed, Bridgend
Salary – up to £12.82 per hour (DOE)

Due to a team expansion, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Officer to join the HR department. Reporting to the HR Manager you will be coordinating all the recruitment activity for the Company to ensure the most suitably qualified candidates are recruited into the organisation.
Recruiting methods will need to be via social media as well as traditional methods, i.e. website job boards and agencies.
Duties and Responsibilities: •Meeting with recruiting managers to develop a job campaign.
•Writing engaging job descriptions and job adverts.
•Advertising vacancies on traditional job boards and social media, including LinkedIn. Work with agencies as required.
•Attracting and engaging with candidates through social media. Including contributing content for the HR LinkedIn page.
•Identifying and approaching suitable candidates who may already be in work and discussing opportunities with them.
•Receiving and shortlisting applications.
•Being the main point of contact for all recruitment activity, including communicating with candidates.
•Arranging and facilitating virtual assessment centers and interviews in a timely manner.
•Designing and administrating selection methods such as assessment centers, technical exercises and preparing interview questions in liaison with recruiting managers.
•Giving constructive feedback to candidates in accordance with good practice and E&D policies.
•Drafting employment contracts and new starter packs.
•Managing of pre-employment checks including references and Disclosure Barring Service checks.
•Ensuring customer service and a high-quality candidate experience throughout.
•Contributing to continuous improvement review of existing internal recruitment practices and making recommendations as appropriate.
•Ensuring adherence to Company policies and employment law throughout the whole recruitment process.
•Ensure a fair and objective process is followed at all stages in accordance with equality and diversity: reviewing and agreeing the vacancy, advertising on websites and social media platforms bilingually, the using effective selection assessments, through to the offer of employment.
•Undertake any other duties as reasonably required by the HR Manager.

Essential •Good general level of education with good literacy and numeracy skills.
•Previous experience in a busy recruitment/resourcing role.
•Strong experience of using direct methods of recruitment, i.e. LinkedIn and other social media platforms, websites.
•Experience of using and negotiating with agencies for recruitment.
•Good level of understanding and application of up to date employment law and best practice for recruitment.
•Good level of understanding of equality and diversity and application to effective operational practices.
•Good customer service skills.
•Strong communication skills; verbal, including presentations, and written.
•Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
•Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and the ability to manipulate and present data, and use of Internet and social media.
