Job description

What you will do in your working day

We are looking for Care Assistants to work in a rewarding role delivering person-centred care to our residents. You will be responsible for helping the staff to provide high quality care for our residents.

The primary responsibility is to assist residents who need help with activities of daily living in accordance with their individual care plans, under the supervision of Senior Staff. Full training will be provided on all aspects, your first 2 weeks will also be spent shadowing and observing senior members of staff.

Experience in care is not necessary. If you are compassionate, patient and caring, hard-working, resilient and organised with good observational skills and a good sense of humour, then care is the career for you.

The training you will be getting

Paragon Skills is a leading national Apprenticeship training provider, supporting over 4,000 learners and 1,500 organisations. Paragon Skills has some of the highest success and achievement rates in the industry.

It has an Ofsted Grade 2 Good rating and an overall achievement rate of 71.4%, exceeding the national average of 65.6%. Using a blended approach, learners are always at the forefront of our priorities. All learners are assigned a Personal Tutor who will be their main point of contact.

This involves regular catch-ups, check-in emails and calls. Your employer will agree to give you 20% of your working hours solely towards your study.

This will give you every chance to achieve the highest grade possible! On completion of this 12 month apprenticeship you will have gained; Adult Care Worker - Level 2 Apprenticeship.

Individuals without level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level and take the test for level 2 English and maths prior to taking the end-point assessment.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

Possibility of a full-time role after the completion of the apprenticeship.
