Salary : £40,000 to £43,000 per annum, subject to location
Hours : 35 hours per week
Location: Sheffield, London, or Cardiff (home and office based)
Contract : Fixed-term contract until end date 31 May 2025
The role
We are looking for an assistant legal counsel to join our legal compliance and governance team as maternity cover. Your work will include negotiating and drafting commercial contracts, and advice on data protection, fundraising and charity law. We can provide some support and training if any of these compliance areas are new to you. You should be able to work co-operatively as part of our team and with our internal stakeholders.
About you
You should have good quality drafting skills and good communication skills. You should be able to manage a busy workload in a timely fashion and give pragmatic advice where appropriate. Experience of working in-house would be an advantage.

Primary location of role and hybrid working
This role is primarily based in our Cardiff/ London/Sheffield office. However, our hybrid working model allows full-time staff members to work up to 3 days per week at home.
