- Full time40 hours per week: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.30pm
Salary: £24,500
- £28,500 per year
Serco’s Environmental Services provide a complete waste and recycling service on behalf of the residents and community in Lambeth. With a professional, dedicated, and friendly team of Refuse & Recycling and Street Cleansing staff, we ensure that streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve.
You will support the contract in meeting and maintaining compliance, working to KPI’s and service level agreements for internal and external stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities
- Managing customer enquiries and complaints
- Scheduling training for staff members
- De-briefing drivers/ crews
- Minute taking
- Provide data on poor performance
- Reporting of vehicle accidents to the company’s insurance provider
- Supporting senior managers with tasks when required
- General administration
What you’ll need
- Ideally have experience within the Waste and Recycling Service Industry and understand Waste Operations
- Prior experience within customer service administration or call centre
- Ability to work with the KPI performance team, coordinating requirements, improvements
- Driving licence to travel across four sites in the Lambeth area
Skills Required
- Detailed local knowledge of the contract area
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Attention to detail
- Great active listening skills
- A patient and empathetic attitude
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments
- Computer literacy including using MS packages
- Maintain good customer relations
