Full time; 42.5 hours per week £54,100.80 per annum The Royal Opera House aims to enrich people`s lives through opera and ballet. Our Technical, Production and Costume Department plays a leading part in ensuring our performances are of the highest quality by delivering technical excellence for every performance, rehearsal, and event. The Royal Opera House Flys Team expertly support across both Opera and Ballet to ensure the operational and production requirements of rehearsals and performances are carried out to the highest possible standard of safety, efficiency, and quality. Working with Tait to develop and launch the EpiQ Automation Control system, the ROH is an industry leader in automated flying and continues to build on this reputation and technological advances - alongside the traditional principals of manual flying. This is a unique and exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to develop and drive forward a small, highly skilled team in a dynamic environment. This role will suit a candidate who is passionate about leadership, can evidence working at the top of their field and who can support a culture of continuous excellence and innovation. You will also be able to demonstrate: An excellent track record in technical and Flys management with major establishments, with the ability to assess production needs for Flys operations in a repertory house. Excellent record as a trained and safe operator of an automated flying system (ROH or equivalent).Proven experience of managing teams and projects with consistent high production standards effectively within given resources and budgets.Experience in front line maintenance and awareness of developments in automated flying systems and stage engineering.Positive leadership style, with strong relationship management and communication skills and the desire to lead by example.Proud member of the Disability Confident employer scheme
