Full time - 37 hours per week. Part time considered
Term time plus training days (39 weeks)
Pay scale 5, points 12 to 17 (£26,421 - £28,770 (pro rata) Starting point depending on skills and experience.
Starting salary pro rata based on point 12 approx. £ 22,661 NB: This includes paid annual leave allowance.
We are looking for a Pastoral Support Worker to join our existing team to support students. This may include targeted interventions, emotional, social and mental health support and managing referral to external agencies. As the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will act as a pivotal member of the safeguarding team, supporting with concerns raised and ensuring actions are taken promptly in line with our safeguarding policies.
The successful candidate should be resilient, empathetic and have experience in working with young people, ideally including young people with additional needs. You will need to have strong communication skills, as you will be liaising with parents/carers and other stakeholders involved, such as social care, targeted support teams, camhs and other services as appropriate, as well as excellent administrative skills in order to keep all relevant systems and data up to date.
