Job description

Gi Group Scarborough are looking for a Supervisor to join our clients well-established team based in Malton.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the factory, ensuring efficient production processes.
- Manage a team of production workers, giving guidance and support as needed.
- Monitoring production schedules and adjusting staffing levels as needed to meet production targets.
- Implement and enforce food safety standards and protocols to ensure compliance is met with regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments such as quality control, maintenance, and logistics to improve production efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to identify any maintenance or repair needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and minimise downtime.
- Train new employees on standard operating procedures and safety protocols.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing industry is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
- Basic math skills for inventory management and production planning.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
- Ability to work in a busy environment and make quick decisions.

Working hours:

Day Shift: 6am to 6pm with a minimum of 4 shifts per week

(Overtime available)

Pay rates:
Basic pay rate to start with: £13.23 p/h
Overtime after 44hrs: £19.84 p/h
Overtime 2 (after 44 hours on Sunday's) - £26.46 p/h
