Join my client’s award-winning consultancy as a Business Development Manager, based in Scotland, and embark on an incredible journey with them as they expand into this new territory. My client is particularly interested in business development specialists who have sold service-led solutions into the construction, property, or housing market.

My client are on a mission to provide exceptional service while helping their customers navigate the complexities of procurement and solutions. As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving their continued growth.

What You'll Do:

Source your own leads within their Ideal Customer Profile target industries.
Arrange and attend meetings with prospective customers, supported by the senior team members.
Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new customers, working closely with the team.
Collaborate with the team to negotiate contracts and find the right solutions.
Identify upselling opportunities within their existing customer portfolio.
Contribute to the development of new service streams and ideas.

Your Main Responsibilities:
Achieve new business and sustainability targets and KPIs.
Identify prospects and conduct lead generation.
Confidently communicate with prospects and customers through calls and presentations.
Convert leads into new business for procurement and sustainability.
Foster a culture of growth through sales across the organisation.
Build long-term relationships with customers.
Ensure a seamless customer journey from onboarding to contract signing.
Keep up-to-date with industry developments and market trends.
Utilize LinkedIn Sales Navigator effectively.

Who You Are:
Highly motivated, target-driven, and customer-focused.
Ideally, several years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management ideally selling into construction, property and/or Local authorities.
Excellent communication skills with high levels of empathy.
Passionate about finding solutions for customers.
Experience in procurement and contract negotiation is beneficial but not essential.
