Job Description

What will you be doing? 

As a Nuclear Structural Design Engineer , you will join the Alten LTD   team in Derby to support our activities within the Nuclear sector. 

Your main responsibilities will be: 

• Produce conceptual structural designs for a small modular reactor
• Designing complex mechanical systems with structural understanding
• Implement and define modular process skids and crane designs for a power plant

Who are we looking for? 

• Dynamic and confident Engineers who can collaborate with various disciplines to produce a conceptual design
• Prior experience in the nuclear energy or chemical power plant Industries

Qualifications

Experience, skills and

qualifications

required: 

• Degree in Nuclear, Chemical, Mechanical ,or Environmental Science-related fields

• Familiarity with various CAD tools

• Previous work in the nuclear industry or on chemical plants

• Eligibility to Achieve BPSS clearance
