Job Description
This role can be based at either our Shirebrook or Manchester HQ with 3 days per week on site
You will lead on a portfolio of delivery across our eCommerce platform. Working with stakeholders from the business and technology to deliver all work types to time and budget, proactively identifying risks and mitigating actions, escalating to the senior IT and Business stakeholders as appropriate.
- Working with development, test and other IT and Business teams to agree and own projects/workstreams
- Focusing on delivery excellence whilst adding-value of experience / analysis into delivery and definition of initiatives.
- Proactively seeking continuous improvement opportunities for all aspects of the delivery lifecycle
- Creating documentation including roadmaps, project plans, status reports and RAID logs, and roll these out for consistency in reporting and controls
- Establishing cadence and governance for all work-types.
- Keeping all documentation and tooling up to date e.g. updating JIRA, Azure DevOps, or Monday.com tickets
- Proactively identifying risks and mitigating actions, identifying owners and driving these through to resolution
- Driving delivery pace with support from PMO
- Driving determination and deliverability of work schedule and scope
- Driving capacity planning and tracking for delivery teams to provide view on available capacity and ability to schedule work in the team.
- Identifying and managing dependencies across the portfolio, including any touchpoints with the wider IT delivery roadmap
Qualifications
- Demonstrable delivery experience - managing technology projects and working with stakeholders from across an organisation at different levels
- Demonstrable understanding of delivery lifecycle processes, controls, strategies, and methods.
- Personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising teams
- Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
- Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proactive in predicting challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles. .
- Experience interfacing with Third Party suppliers
- Promoting team empowerment through team-building techniques, ensuring each team member is making a meaningful contribution and fully engaged in delivery.
- Professional Project Management Certification from accredited institution (desirable)
- Experience working in eCommerce/Retail industry (desirable)
