Strong Group are in search of a Roofing & Facades Quantity Surveyor to join a rapidly growing contractor based in Essex. They are looking for an experienced Roofing & Facades Quantity Surveyor with commercial & residential project experience to join their expanding commercial division.

Title: Roofing & Facades Quantity Surveyor Salary: £55,000 (DOE)
Location: Essex Schedule: Mon-Fri (Reduced Friday Hours)
Office/ Site Based Start Date : ASAP

Due to the contractors continued growth, they have established a need for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Roofing & Facades Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have Quantity Surveying experience within roofing, Cladding & Facades.

Roofing & Facades Quantity Surveyor responsibilities :

• Dealing with various roofing and cladding systems including: flat roofing, cladding, facades, flat tiling, purlins, steel frames and rain screens
• Keeping up to date with site progress, recording progress made, and transferring information onto monthly payment applications
• Working with surveying team, organising AFP’s etc
• Updating any changes to the agreed contract scope
• Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontract parameters
• Keeping track of monthly application figures and ensuring relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints
• Compiling sub-subcontract orders including enquiry and pricing documentation.
• Reviewing project drawings, comparing construction drawings to tender drawings documenting any changes
• Develop and foster working relationships with clients, client reps, and suppliers

Roofing & Facades Quantity Surveyor requirements :

• Minimum 3 years Quantity Surveyor experience
• Must have Quantity Surveying experience within the UK construction industry within the roofing, cladding or facades market sector
• In depth understanding of subcontracts (JCT, Design and build & NEC3 )
• Must hold a full UK driving license with access to a car
• CSCS card ideal but not a necessity
• Must have a good understanding of technical drawings
• Must be highly organised and keep chronological records of site progress and use information when submitting payment applications
• Ideally will have a Quantity Surveying degree
• Enthusiastic, team play, who works well individually also
