Contract details: 6 months (inside IR35), 35 hours per week
Hourly rate: 48 Umbrella OR 36.29 PAYE
The Opportunity
Belcan Workforce Solutions' Aerospace client in Filton is seeking a Landing Gear Systems Engineer to join the Wheels, Brakes, and Tyres team within the Landing Gear Department. In this role, you will be involved in critical activities related to landing gear systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficient development.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for conducting engineering activities to meet safety, time, cost, and quality standards. Additionally, you'll deliver on commitments and provide regular progress reports. Ensuring robust adherence to system processes and aligning with product requirements is crucial. You'll also collaborate with stakeholders, including Systems Certification Specialists and technical signatories, to ensure compliance with certification requirements, processes, and methodologies. Managing budgets, schedules, and risks and communicating effectively are essential aspects of this role.
Skill Set
We are seeking candidates with knowledge and experience related to the development of Mechanical Systems, including hydro–mechanical components and equipment. Ideally, this experience should be within the aerospace sector.
As a Landing Gear Systems Engineer, you will apply systems engineering methodology, particularly requirements management for ongoing aircraft maintenance projects. Demonstrated leadership and communication skills are essential, along with a strong background in engineering, systems, and equipment design.
