The Role

We are working with a well-established, reputable provider who own care homes across the UK, providing long-term, short-term and respite care in nursing, residential and dementia care settings.

My client is seeking a Deputy Manager with an active pin and no restrictions to support within a medium sized care home. The Deputy Manager will work alongside the Home Manager to ensure the highest level of person-centred care is being provided to all residents.The Home requires a candidate who is able to recognise safeguarding issues and understand ways in which to rectify any issues to ensure the home is compliant and meeting CQC requirements.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role should possess an active nursing registration with no restrictions and prior experience as a Deputy Manager within a substantial elderly care facility.

As the Deputy Manager, they will collaborate closely with the Home Manager to provide support and empowerment to the dependable staff team at the facility. Furthermore, they should be adept at establishing strong connections with local authorities to facilitate the ongoing success of the home. In addition, the successful candidate should have a deep understanding of the standards stipulated by the CQC and local authorities to ensure the continued prosperity of the home in future inspections.

This role is based in Kendal, and is commutable from Lancaster & Carlisle

Interview Process

Stage one: Formal interview with the Home Manager
Stage two: Formal interview with the Home Manager and Director

Summary
My client is seeking an experienced nurse qualified Deputy Manager with care home experience, where the successful candidate can work alongside the Home Manager to ensure the home is running in line with CQC requirements. In exchange, my client is offering a salary of £45,279 – £50,481 per annum.
