Prospero Teaching are currently recruiting for tutors to fill flexible positions with students across the Rochdale area

Are you a qualified Teacher looking for a new challenge? Prospero Teaching are looking for a dedicated 1-2-1 Tutor in the Rochdale area .

As a tutor/mentor you would be required to offer support to the student for 10 hours per week - 5 hours per day, supporting them with Maths and English, in their own home. You will be required to complete weekly feedback forms on the student's progress, achievements, behaviour, and self-esteem/confidence.

In addition to Maths and English tuition, this student requires support with their Social, Emotional and Mental Health, so an understanding of this would be beneficial.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location - Rochdale
• Position - Tutor
• Subject - Core Subjects / Functional skills / life skills
• Start date - ASAP
• Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing
• Contract type - Permanent
• Full time/part-time - Part Time
• The minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £25 per hour
• Hours - 8:30am - 4:00pm (usually 3 hours per session)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYTS or equivalent
• Previous experience working in a UK school
• Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as, we can provide this)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child related references
