Description
The duties include:
- Prepare monthly management accounts with commentary in a presentable pack to the senior management team.
- Prepare management accounts packs, reconciling sales, trial balance and P&L figures and commentary, undertaking further investigations as necessary.
- Request other reports, trend graphs and other information to include in the commentary from colleagues.
- Review management pack with Finance Directors per cycle.
- Month end duties, including closing ledgers, updating exchange rates, journal preparations and posting.
- Close General Ledger and Inventory ledgers in Oracle system.
- Update exchange rates in Oracle system per cycle.
- Journal preparation using ADI upload in excel and posting journal entries using Oracle system.
- Manage other team members of their cycle end task to ensure task has been done and other ledgers are closed with no problems.
- Balance sheet reconciliation.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations per cycle for a set of balance sheet accounts.
- Collate from other team members balance sheet reconciliations and review.
- Review balance sheet reconciliations with Finance Directors per month.
- Weekly bank reconciliations forGBP and EUR currency accounts.
- Reconcile bank accounts on a weekly basis for GBP and EUR accounts using GL Wand application to reconcile to bank statements, and investigate any entries not matched.
- Quarterly preparation of Market Share analysis, Average Selling Price analysis and Rebate calculations.
- Obtain sales stats from system, prepare sales stats to enter into market share template to be sent to external company.
- Obtain sales stats from system, prepare ASP template received, reconciling to the relevant quarter cycle's sales figure.
- Obtain sales stats from system, prepare rebate calculations and forward to customer.
- Prepare and submitting VAT returns for all companies.
- Obtain reports from relevant finance system and excel to prepare VAT return and submitting to HMRC online and arranging payment when required.
- Arrange the half year and audited end of year stock take.
- Manage Accounts Assistants.
- Ensure Accounts daily treasury tasks is carried out, reviewing cashflow forecast and managing daily bank balance.
- Manage adhoc duties given to Accounts team.
- Collaborating and Supporting UK Sales team
- Ensure reporting accuracy for customer accounts
- Provide support for maximizing customer experience and margins
Profile
The successful candidate MUST:
- Have experience with management accounts - Essential
- Be working towards final exams of ACCA or CIMA - Essential
- Have experience beyond the management accounts and looking at the commercials - Essential
- Be strong using MS Excel
- Have experience in costings - Desirable
- Be a strong communicator with a strong attention to detail - Essential
Job Offer
This role is looking to pay up to £51,000 + Hybrid working + Study support + Parking + Pension
