Job description

Reed Talent Solutions are working with a national utilities client to recruit an IT Senior Buyer on a 12 month fixed term basis, working within the IT & Corporate Services team to drive commercial value through sourcing and ongoing contract management.

The role available will be working hybrid, based in Coventry with flexibility of home/on site working around diary requirements.

The ideal post holder would have experience within the IT procurement field.

Salary of £44,485 – £52,758 dependant on experience.

Knowledge and Experience

• General procurement experience and strategic sourcing for complex programmes.
• Experience in managing complex IT tenders, including Cyber.
• A good understanding of commercial principles in deploying IT & Cyber IT Solutions.
• Experience of analysing and presenting data to influence sourcing and contract decisions.
• An understanding of EU and Utility Procurement Directives, ideally supported by evidence of running a competitive, compliant tender process.
• Developing a wider internal and external perspective by building a clear understanding of what drives markets, suppliers and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Training

• Degree or equivalent in a commercial/ procurement discipline
• Relevant procurement experience
• Previous experience as a buyer with a Cyber IT background
