Team Overview
Our business to business events bookings are worth around £2.5m a year for Go Ape but we are wanting to grow this area of the business significantly over the next few years. We have an opportunity particularly to grow our corporate and group bookings all year round.

The Event Sales team creates memorable events for large groups including corporate customers, schools, youth organisations, and others. The team both receive incoming requests and proactively generates leads, creating tailored adventures (including working with 3rd party suppliers if required), ensuring that our customers receive an amazing experience at each stage of their Go Ape journey.

Role Profile
The Corporate Sales Executive needs to be passionate about generating new business, keeping existing customers happy and of course organising exceptional events. You will have a strong commercial focus, with the drive to succeed in a target driven role and can recognise opportunities to grow the business, through nurturing new leads and developing existing customer relationships.

Working Closely and in partnership with the Sales Manager, Events Administrators, Corporate Team, Site Teams and Managers.

Job Specification Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Sales Responsibilities
As a Corporate and Group Sales Executive you will be responsible for looking after and gaining new customers within the Corporate and Group sector for Go Ape.

Account Management
• Building and establishing relationships with customers for long term success

• Identifying opportunities to increase revenues and referrals

New Business Acquisition
• Sourcing, attracting and nurturing customers into new accounts that can produce repeat business and referral opportunities.

Sales Process
• Reactively manage inbound phone and online enquiries.

• Produce suitable proposals and quotes for all enquiries.

• Create bespoke event solutions to suit the customer’s needs.

• Manage the sales cycle for each enquiry to optimise and maximise the business opportunity in line with target KPI’s.

• Present to customers in a creative way to inspire and motivate them to select Go Ape to deliver their events.

• Work with Site Managers to grow and create opportunities within the local community.

Revenue & KPI’s
• Ensure sales targets (individual, product, sites and team) are achieved on a monthly basis including the financial year end period.

• Ensure call and business acquisition targets are achieved in line with KPI’s

• Review your own sales performance and forecast with a view to meet and exceed targets.

Administration
• Manage all customer content and the sales process through our internal CRM system, including lead sources, contact notes and future actions.

• Work closely with all internal team members applicable to efficiently and professionally execute each event.

• Discounts to be applied when applicable following company discount procedures

Commercial Awareness
• Know your products, sites and make it your business to be aware of competitors and developments within the industry.

• Attend research trips to develop knowledge of sites, venues and activities and develop relationships with sites and suppliers where applicable.

• Gather competitor and market sector information where appropriate and share with appropriate departments.

• Be curious and keep up to date with industry insights.

• Attend team meetings and share best practice with colleagues

Person Specification The suitable candidate will have:
• You will have a background in sales with a proven track record of account management success and target-driven results.

• Events experience is desirable but not essential.

• Results driven and hungry to succeed

• Confident and self-motivated

• Possess great conversation skills and fantastic communication skills (both verbal and written)

• A creative mind and not afraid to think out of the box

• Diligent and willing to go the extra mile

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Persuasive by nature

• Good social skills with the ability to quickly forge strong relationship

Holiday Entitlement – 25 Days plus a day off for your birthday.

Working Hours 9 – 5.30 Monday to Friday (flexibility maybe required in peak season)
