Senior Commercial Property Claims Handler - NIG
Bromley - Hybrid (2 days a week in the office)
Full Time, Permanent Position
This role is in scope to transfer to RSA in Summer 2024. As part of this, RSA are currently consulting with DLG’s Employment Representative Body on their proposed measures (changes to terms and conditions and ways of working that RSA intend to make as part of the transfer). Reporting directly into the Commercial Claims Team Leader, you'll manage all Commercial losses of a defined large and technical/complex nature. This role encompasses end-to-end claims handling, collaborating with the supply chain to deliver cost-effective solutions and exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities include triaging new technical and large claims, investigating and negotiating settlements, identifying fraudulent claims, and maximising revenue generation while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. Additionally, you'll play a key role in developing strategies for handling large loss claims, mentoring others, conducting audits, and contributing to the technical development of the claims handling team. Your focus on risk management, customer experience, and meeting business targets will be paramount in maintaining excellence within the department.
Previous claims handling experience within Commercial is necessary, including initiation, investigation, negotiation and settlement, and claims quantum and assessment
Knowledge of Fraud and Investigation
Aware of Insurance Principles and Practice
Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills
Ability to work to deadlines and agreed service level agreements
Experience mentoring others
