Job description

The opportunity

Are you passionate about creating inclusive digital experiences for UAL’s key audiences? If so, join our team at University of the Arts London (UAL) as a User Experience (UX) Designer.

We are looking for 2 exceptional UX professionals to join Student Experience within the Digital & Technology Group. One role will be a member of the Digital Public Platforms team and one will be a member of the Student Support Services team. You will work with our colleges, students, key university services, and external contacts.

You will use your creative talent and UX expertise to create engaging user experiences. You will work with UX researchers, UI designers, content designers, and developers. Together you will deliver excellent, inclusive, and accessible user experiences across our services. Our digital products and services include the UAL website, Portfolio, UAL Showcase, and student support.

About you

You will have a UX related degree or relevant experience. You are an organised self-starter who is an enthusiastic, hard-working individual and a team player. You can evaluate user needs and identify opportunities for improvement. You have experience using analytics, usability testing, and A/B testing to support design decisions.

You are a problem solver capable of transforming ideas into tangible, user-centric designs through wireframes, sketches, prototypes, and user flows.

You are keen to participate in co-creative design teams and work together with content and UI designers to integrate UX solutions into the different UAL digital products.

An excellent communicator - you will need to support, demonstrate, and present your findings and recommendations to a wide range of stakeholders. 

You are passionate about user experience and putting users at the heart of our digital products.
