Job description
We are seeking a General Manager to oversee three key business areas within the Group: Calibration, Structural Testing, and Subsidence Investigations. Based in Chesterfield, Leicester, and Billericay, the successful candidate will manage a team of dedicated professionals across these sites.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee Calibration, Structural Testing, and Subsidence Investigations businesses.
- Manage the day-to-day operations leaders of each business unit.
- Develop high-level leadership and growth strategies for each business.
- Drive revenue growth for Calibration, navigate a competitive environment for Structural Testing, and manage seasonality challenges for Subsidence Investigations.
- Collaborate with department managers to achieve stable units with modest growth in the first year.
- Focus on stabilization and modest progress in the first year, with plans to accelerate growth in 2024.
Background (Experience, Skills & Qualifications) Criteria:
- Experience in an operationally focused leadership role, with a mix of commercial/sales experience.
- Proven success in implementing structures/processes leading to team and revenue growth.
- Ideally comes from the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry.
- Strong people and change management experience, particularly in merging separate businesses.
- Experience with multiple sites or small businesses leadership.
- Ideally has experience in a similar industry or company.
Personal Circumstances Criteria:
- Resides in the Midlands and willing to travel to Tipton, Chesterfield, and Leicester.
