The Role

We are currently recruiting for a B1 Aircraft Engineer to take responsibility for t he maintenance and repair of aircraft equipment as directed. The control of resources and workshops as allocated. The supervision of engineers as necessary to enable the above purpose to be met. Deputising for Senior Licensed Aircraft Engineer (SLAE).

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Liaise with those departments necessary to complete the tasks allocated
• Carry out tasks, supervise and certify any work within the terms of the Company authorisation in technical logs or on Company worksheets/work cards.
• Ensure compliance with published Company Procedures.
• Complete worksheets/work cards as soon as the tasks are completed and write any additional defects found on to additional worksheets/work cards
• Notify the supervisor of any serious defects immediately if they are found.
• See that all test equipment is currently calibrated.
• Maintenance of aircraft allocated by the SLAE or Chief Engineer.
• The ground movements of aircraft assigned by the SLAE or Chief Engineer
• Previous experience in both line and base maintenance
• Experience on pressurised twin engine turbo-prop aircraft above 5700KG
• Proven and recent supervisory experience leading teams and a proven record of delivery in a production environment.
• Good leadership and motivational qualities.
• Commercial background – working to tight deadlines and budgetary requirements.
• Good technical English (written and spoken)
• Basic maths
• Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship which included modules such as English, Maths and Physics
• Experience of service or commercial aircraft engineering/operations (desirable)
• Ability to work safely in line with risk assessments and technical instructions
• Good dexterity and an ability to use basic maintenance hand tools in a safe manner
• Trustworthy, motivated team member and physically fit to undertake manual tasks around and on board the aircraft
• Previous Tug driving experience an advantage.
• Type rating on King AIr 300 series would be extremely advantageous
