Purchasing Administrator - Dublin based.
Our client, who are market leaders in the manufacturing, wholesale, and distribution of plumbing supplies to the builder's merchants trade for over 90 years are expanding. they are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Administrator to cope with the ever-increasing business in both the domestic and export markets.
The role entails providing purchasing administration support to the purchasing team to ensure product availability at all times. A full induction & product training program will allow the successful candidate to excel in the role.

The ideal candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Stock Control.
- Third-level qualification, preferably in Purchasing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Confident demeanour with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong team player with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience and knowledge of the plumbing, heating, bathroom, and/or construction industry is advantageous.
- Eagerness to learn about our products, systems, and customers.
- Ability to exercise initiative and make informed decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within a dynamic and experienced Purchasing department.
- Generate supplier purchase orders and customer invoices.
- Assist in maintaining purchasing and selling price files.
- Ensure accuracy and currency of internal product database, including PO due dates and pricing.
- Liaise closely with the Logistics Department to manage urgent demands, coordinate local and international collections and deliveries, and book international transport while ensuring compliance with shipping and freight documentation.
- Procure cost-effective freight services meeting required deadlines.
- Oversee stock inventory control, including managing in-house stock and coordinating monthly stock meetings.
- Develop stock requirement forecasts to meet organizational targets and customer demand.
- Utilize the company's stock management system to optimize stock levels.
- Process goods receipts and investigate supplier account queries.
- Expedite the 'Return to Vendor' process and ensure timely receipt of credit notes.
- Generate stock and supplier reports.
