Purchasing Co-ordinator

It is the Purchasing Co-ordinator's responsibility to maintain Stock's of standard items in accordance with set allowances.
key accountabilities
- Main tasks purchasing co-ordinator carries out to achieve accountabilities
- Manage Inventory to maximise stock availability whilst working within stock allowance targets.
- Practise efficient and effective re-ordering procedures to maximise stock availability and meet target levels.
- Ensure accurate recording of all quotations, purchases and amendments. Hard copy filing to be maintained in accordance with set parameters.
- Schedule, progress and infill stock to maximise inventory flows and avoid bottlenecks.
- Identify any significant change in demand and communicate with customers to identify reason and likely future effect.
- Assist the Purchasing Team Manager in the proactive monitoring of aged, non-moving, excess and obsolete stock.
- Maintain integrity and accuracy of all computer data.
- Continually improve the standard of service you provide to every customer.
- Identify customer needs and take action to satisfy them.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers on behalf of customers where you can add value.
- Advise, support and guide customers in all aspects of sourcing where required.
- Take ownership of all customer complaints and handle without prejudice to ensure a satisfactory response and conclusion.

- Understanding of Quality Management System and knowledge of local objectives and procedures appropriate to the role.
