Are you a Smart Meter Engineer Ready to Supercharge Your Career in Energy?

Do you have experience with 3 phase electrical metering systems and are eager to take the next big leap in your career?

We’ve got a role packed with excitement, challenges, unparalleled growth opportunities and  a £5000 welcome bonus waiting for you!

The Opportunity:

Metering and Solutions is inviting you to be a part of a ground-breaking transformation in the energy sector. With your proven expertise in Metering Installation, you'll be at the forefront of providing technical services to our prestigious industrial and commercial clients, propelling sustainable energy practices into the future. Join our team, and you'll become an indispensable part of a market-leading powerhouse that energizes millions of homes and businesses while enhancing your own skill set.

This is your opportunity to step into a role that involves installing cutting-edge metering products, electric vehicle charging points, energy monitoring solutions, and control equipment for our esteemed business customers. Embrace a position that empowers you to shape the energy landscape, drive progress, and truly make a difference.

Despite being a remote worker, you won't be alone. You'll be a key player in a team that thrives on collaboration, with regular face-to-face team meetings and get-togethers that foster a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We're committed to promoting good mental health and nurturing a supportive, inclusive environment.

Pay, Benefits, and Culture:

Your dedication will be rewarded with a competitive salary, dependent on your experience and qualifications. And that's just the beginning! You'll also enjoy a 3% company bonus and a flexible cash fund allowance of £1,250 per year. If you live within the M25, we've got you covered with a £3,500 London allowance.

If you're all about performance, you're in for a treat! Our performance incentive schemes can pad your wallet with up to £10,000, and overtime opportunities are there to boost your earnings further.

If you are already experienced in Commercial Metering, we want your application too. We will make sure your remuneration reflects your experience.

We will sort everything out when it comes to tools, equipment, uniform, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Plus, we'll set you up with a company vehicle, mobile phone, and laptop.

Your well-being matters to us, which is why we offer a range of flexible benefits, from gym memberships to health-related cash plans and enticing discounts. And don't forget our top of the range employee pension scheme.

At EDF, everyone’s welcome. We strive to create an inclusive and diverse environment where everyone has a voice and where you feel confident being yourself. We’re committed to equality, diversity and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application, making adjustments as you need.

We’ll value the difference you bring and offer opportunities for you to thrive and succeed.

The Path to Success:

But here's the kicker - the journey doesn't stop here. This role isn't just a job; it's a steppingstone to a remarkable future. You can climb the ranks with us, earning your stripes in LVCT (Low Voltage Current Transformers) followed by HVCT (High Voltage Current Transformers). As you gain experience and expertise, you can ascend to the coveted position of Commercial Metering Technician and, if you desire, further rise to the role of Commercial Metering Lead Technician. Your salary will increase with each milestone, reflecting your competence and dedication.

Who You Are:

You're not just a meter installer; you're a master of your craft, with a track record of excellence that speaks volumes. Safety, quality, and customer satisfaction are the guiding stars of your work ethic.

Your technical skills, paired with your exceptional communication skills, makes you a standout contributor in your field.

Your commitment to continuous improvement and mentorship showcases your readiness to uphold our team's reputation as an industry leader.

While having qualified as an electrician would be nice, we just need you to have experience with 3 phase electrical systems or Smart Meter Installation.

It would be fantastic (but not essential) if you have qualifications like NC, HND, or equivalent experience or if you're actively pursuing higher education courses in electrical engineering.
