You\'ll be giving back to society working in this role. The company operates a very flexible working policy with just 1 day a week in the office and the rest working from home.
Your new role
You\'ll lead a small team to deliver an accurate and compliant financial accounting and reporting service for the organisation. Your role will comprise financial accounting and year end, Management Reporting, Audit and Compliance, and leadership of a small team. You\'ll ensure that financial controls develop in pace with the growth of the organisation and oversee all external reporting. This would be an ideal role for a first mover from practice or a qualified accountant with strong financial accounting skills looking to work in an education sector / social purpose organisation.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You\'ll be a qualified accountant with a good knowledge of financial control frameworks and of chart of accounts. It would advantageous if you have prior education sector or charity sector experience.
You must be able to work in the office 1 day per week and be prepared to travel occasionally to other sites across the North.
