Job description
Our partner has a strong presence throughout the UK, boasting considerable expertise working on the River Thames. Our array of electrical and engineering services includes solar installations, diesel heater setups, battery enhancements, as well as engine maintenance and troubleshooting on motor yachts, narrow boats and house barges.
As a Marine Engineering Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining personal boats, canal boats as well as larger vessels. Utilizing your advanced diagnostic and analytical skills, you will address issues in electrical, mechanical, and control systems for our clients. This role also involves conducting maintenance and overhauls of engines and gearboxes to ensure compliance with safe working conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake maintenance of 4-cylinder engines, high pressure injectors, be able to fault find and on the spot. Utilize advanced diagnostic and analytical skills to address issues in electrical, mechanical, and control systems. Perform maintenance and overhauls of engines and gearboxes to ensure compliance with safe working conditions. Some experience with solar and diesel haters is advantageous.
