About the Role

We are a busy, multi surgery Practice on the outskirts of Norwich looking for a Receptionist/Care Navigator to join our friendly team on a full time (37.5 hours) basis.  Part time hours and flexible working arrangements can also be considered.

As the first point of contact for patients you will be required to deal with queries, answering patients calls, booking appointments and carrying out daily administrative tasks.

The role will include:

• Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment system.
• Using the practice systems to make appointments.
• Answering incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriately.
• Signposting patients to the correct service.
• Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence.
• Contacting and responding to requests from patients, team members and external agencies.
• Read coding data on “SystmOne”.
• Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required.
• Inputting data into the patients records as necessary.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times.
• Supporting all clinical staff with general tasks as requested.

About the Candidate

• The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate professionally, with genuine empathy and have good listening skills – whilst working under pressure.
• Ideally you will have experience of working as a receptionist in general practice and knowledge of SystmOne - but full training will be given.
• As we operate from three surgeries, you may be required to work flexibly across all of these sites as required.
