Job description
We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for our client in the Stoke area.
You will be required to provide Mechanical and Electrical support for all key fixed plant and equipment at a busy minerals plant. You will need to maintain plant availability at high levels through planned routine maintenance and react effectively to breakdowns.
Requirements as follows:
A sound understanding of maintaining mechanical and electrical fixed processing plant – including pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveying systems, milling equipment etc.
Ability to fault find and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.
Record what was done to resolve breakdowns and investigate the root cause.
Have good communication skills and able to work in a small team
IT literate and preferably have experience in using ERP systems – particularly SAP.
Have a good working knowledge of and work within, the EHSQ requirements
Willing to undertake further training as and when required.
We are looking for someone with a greater mechanical bias therefore not over concerned if candidates do not have electrical qualifications/knowledge.
Maintenance hours are required: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week – Hours are approx 8 – 4 with potential for some flexibility (to be agreed)
