We are recruiting on behalf of a small animal practice in Egham, Surrey for a Permanent Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. The position is part time offering a 20 hour week working Wednesday - Friday, Thursday to Friday and 1:2 Saturday mornings. There are no OOH or Sundays.

The role
- Permanent Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
- Part time role - 20 Hours per week Wednesday - Friday or Thursday - Friday. 1:2 Saturday mornings.
- No OOH
- The Vet will be working alongside a 7 Vet team
- Offers a great work / life balance
- Whilst the role involves a mixture consultations, diagnostics and surgeries, for the right candidate they are open to discussion on consult only, or consult and operating only etc
- The Vet will be responsible for providing a high standard of veterinary care and customer service.
- The Vet will be responsible to ensuring that there is excellent communication between themselves and the team and with clients.
- The salary is up to £65,000 pro rata commensurate to experience.

- Established 1st opinion small animal Hospital with branch practice.
- Fast paced busy Hospital which sees a wide variety of cases
- The practice provides a high standard of care and customer service to all its patients and clients.
- They are fully equipped and offer a wide range of Veterinary services. Facilities include separate dog an cat wards, consult rooms, ICU, theatre, dental x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and in house laboratory
- 7 Vet team and a 11 nursing team
- Offers onsite parking
Team culture:

- They have a fully staffed team with a accounts an administration team, along with a reception team
- They host visiting referral surgeons for more complicated surgeries
- They have a ward round in the morning with the team and receive a handover from the night shift. This helps ensure the smooth day to day running of the practice and everyone is on the same page

- They are open to various levels of experience however they do require some post graduate small animal experience
- The Vet will be a team player, with good interpersonal skills and be able to establish strong working relationships. They will be able to work independently as well as part of a team
- The vet will have excellent communications skills and a compassionate attitude along with excellent client facing skills.
- The Vet will always maintain a high standard of clinical care
Package
- Salary: Up to £65,000 pro rata commensurate to experience
- Holidays: 6.6 weeks annual incl bank holidays increasing with service and birthday off
- CPD: 1,250 allowance and 5 paid days
- Memberships: RCVS, VDS and BVA fees paid
