What will I be doing?
The Sales Executive is a proactive role within the sales team responsible for creating strong relationships with existing MICE clients, whilst proactively developing new business opportunities. The ideal person will be engaging, love interacting with people and have a hunger for finding new business. Typical tasks for this role would include:
- Be an ambassador for the largest Hilton outside of the US, participating in some of the nationwide tradeshows and events.
- Conduct sales research, presentations and sales activity via audio and virtual calls, hotel show rounds, entertaining clients, attending relevant trade shows, client evenings and fam trips to build relationships and grow market share
- Account Management of assigned MICE partners, including key UK and Ireland based accounts along with supporting conversion with our Groups conferences and events team in-house. The role will evolve and include the Asia Pacific portfolio of accounts in 2023.
- Analysis of market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
- Travel locally to meet clients, share the story of the repositioning and drive business into the hotel
- Participation in commercial meetings/ strategies to work within current business strategies and recognise potential opportunities
- Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional guest experience and share understanding of the key needs of our MICE clients
- Produce accurate and timely reports and presentations that meet the needs of the Sales Director and senior management
What are we looking for?
A Sales Executive at Hilton London Metropole is focused on delivering the best experience to our guests and working collaboratively with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:
- A team player, we work closely with both our onsite Groups, Conference & Events teams and Hilton Worldwide Sales above property teams. Your ability to connect with these teams to drive results will be a key driver in your success in the role
- Proven experience in large events in a hospitality environment (preferred)
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations
- Ability to work under pressure on simultaneous projects and under own initiative
- It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
- Existing UK Mice agency contacts (preferred) and not shy to reach out and network with new clients through Social media and F2F engagement opportunities.
- Passion for sales and for achieving targets and objectives
