About Us

Thames Travel is part of the Go-Ahead Group plc, one of the major public transport operators in the country. We are comprised of over 60 vehicles and over 150 employees, operating throughout south Oxfordshire and Berkshire, carrying around 3 million passengers every year.

As a forward-thinking, innovative company, we have invested in ultra low emission Euro 6 rated buses with start-stop technology to support environmental efforts. Our buses are also highly accessible with low floors, CCTV and spacious wheelchair and buggy areas.

We are now looking for a Bus Driver to join our team on a permanent, full-time or part-time basis. We offer plenty of flexibility with working hours but all shifts patterns will involve weekend work.

- Annual salary from £32,000 to £40,000, depending on shifts and hours worked (if you are an existing PCV driver, you may be eligible for up to £3,000 in our Reward Scheme, subject to Terms and Conditions)

The Role

As a Bus Driver, you’ll collect and drop off passengers along our routes in south Oxfordshire.

Driving courteously and considerately at all times, you will obey speed limits and road laws, ensuring your passengers enjoy a safe and comfortable trip.

To begin with, you’ll be paired with an experienced driver to show you the ropes and pass on all the tricks of the trade. Within no time, you’ll be fully trained and ready to set out with plenty of support from our base in Didcot.

About You

To be considered as a Bus Driver, you will need:

- A valid driving licence held for at least twelve months, with at least one year’s driving experience
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- To be friendly
- The flexibility to work weekends
