Job description


This is an exciting opportunity to join the Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust Treatment Room service in the Greater Preston and Chorley South Ribble area.

We are Advertising for one Permanent post based at Geoffrey Street Health Centre working 30h per week.

If you are able to work autonomously, you are motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic then come and join our team of dedicated treatment room nurses.

The Treatment Room service currently operates from Monday to Friday excluding weekends and bank holidays. We are an appointment only service between the hours of 08.30 and 16.30 however we do hold 2 late evening clinics (up to 8pm) and one early clinic (8am start) once a week.

Applicants must be willing to work flexibly over 5 days, be able to work well within a team and on their own initiative.

The Treatment Room provides care to patients with acute/chronic wounds, post-operative wound assessment, removal of sutures and clips, intra-muscular injections, lower limb assessments, compression bandaging and ear irrigation.

The post holder will work as a member of the treatment room nursing team and provide assistance to treatment room staff across Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust under the direction and supervision of registered staff. They will provide a high standard of care to patients as appropriate to treatment room and the services provided therein.

The post holder will assist in the delivery of the objectives set out within the Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust business plan.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
