Job description
Job Title: Trainer
Location: Hampshire based but will be required to undertake frequent travel to other areas across Dorset, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Somerset . There are also opportunities for hybrid working.
Employment: Full Time,
Hours Per Week: 37.5hrs (Mon-Fri predominantly with flexibility to undertake occasional weekend working)
Salary: up to £28,000 per annum
PBS4 is a not for profit and social enterprise support provider for adults and young adults who have learning disabilities and/or autism. We support people to live in their own homes, with their own tenancies and our model of support is a practice called Positive Behaviour Support. Our CEO Jonathan Beebee is a registered Learning Disabilities Nurse and qualified Behaviour Analyst.
We are a medium-sized organisation supporting 40 people across Hampshire, Dorset, Berkshire, Somerset and Oxfordshire and with a workforce of around 250. As PBS4 grows, the demands on our in-house Training Team increase and develop, and this role would be an integral part of the team by supporting in the delivery of high-quality training sessions on a day to day basis, in person and on-line.
Your responsibilities would be split between supporting with the delivery of in-house training courses and the associated administration which ensures we can demonstrate compliance across all of our statutory and mandatory. You would need to be able to demonstrate experience of direct support work, and either already be an accredited PROACT-SCIPr-UK Instructor, or be willing to complete the course to become one.
Other requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
PBS4 encourage the upskilling of their staff and the need for progression. You are therefore expected to get involved in meetings, work towards gaining appropriate work-related qualifications, attend relevant training courses and be willing to learn new practices and ways of working. You will maintain up to date records of your training and continuous professional development.
