Job description
Humanist Heritage: Doers, Dreamers, Place Makers is a two-year project generously funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. It is an extension of the Humanist Heritage project, which since 2019 has sought to share the long and rich history of humanist thought and action with new audiences.
A key part of this project is the collection of oral histories from members of LGBT Humanists, and selecting excerpts from these for our Humanist Heritage website and an exhibition launching in Summer 2024, celebrating the 45th Anniversary of LGBT Humanists. We now have a vacancy for an Oral History Volunteer.
Our ideal candidate is someone with a genuine interest in the rich history of LGBT communities, particularly members of LGBT Humanists (founded as the Gay Humanist Group in the 1970s). If you are keen to be a vital part of recording and widening access to these stories, we would love to hear from you.
