Role: Assistant Service Manager
Location: West Malling, Kent
Setting: Supported Living, Learning Disabilities,
Hours: Full Time 39 hours Be flexible to work across the different shift patterns on a 7-day rota.
Salary: £27,154

My client are a fantastic charity provider of supported living, residential care and outreach services for service users with autism, learning disability and complex needs around the clock, assisting service users to live as independently as possible. They are continually looking to improve the quality of life for their service users and help one another grow.

We are looking for an Assistant Service Manager to support in the running of 1 of their services in West Malling, Kent which supports 7 people who have learning Disabilities, communication difficulties and some behaviours of concern, individuals who need additional support to take part in community-based activities and activities within their home including swimming, baking, shopping etc.

You will act as a role model and inspire your team to provide outstanding support and care through coaching and leading by example. Acting as a role model you will empower the people; we support to have active and fulfilling lives aligned with their needs and aspirations. You will be responsible for transitions of the people we support, Rotas', support plans, assisting with managing budgets, and monthly reports as well as recruitment, development and management of staff.

The Role:
• Assist the manager in the running of the service and ensure the service remains in line with CQC regulations
• Ensuring the health and welfare of the individuals in your responsibility and ensuring policies/procedures and systems are in place to safeguard individuals from abuse.
• Regular Audits.
• Leading and managing the team
• Staff supervisions, appraisals, managing staff performance and general observations.
• Monthly reporting.
• Helping to create a solution led
• Communicating and liaising with outside professionals and agencies.
• On call duties

Requirements:
• Have previous experience within a Learning Disabilities service
• A positive, bubbly, can-do attitude
• Have a desire to help people
• Knowledgeable of the legal framework
• NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care
• Valid Driving Licence and own vehicle
