Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Special Educational Needs (SEN) - Immediate Start
Location: Bromsgrove, West Midlands
Duration: Immediate start, long term
Job Overview: Smile Education, in collaboration with one of our partnered primary schools in Bromsgrove, is seeking a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to a child with high-level needs. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive difference in the life of a student who requires personalised assistance in their learning journey.
Responsibilities: - Work closely with the child, providing 1:1 support in and out of the classroom environment.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet the specific needs of the student.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere to encourage the child's engagement and participation in learning activities.
- Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support strategy.
- Monitor and report on the child's progress, communicating regularly with parents and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements: - Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in supporting children with high-level needs.
- Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children overcome challenges.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
